Miss Tennessee 2012, Chandler Lawson


Chandler Lawson was crowned Miss Tennessee 2012 on Saturday night June 24, 2012. She will represent her state to compete in Miss America 2013 pageant to be held in Las Vegas on January 12, 2013.
 
Lawson is 22 years old and a Tullahoma, Tennessee native. She graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a degree in political science.

Debbe Eben was crowned Miss Alaska 2012 on June 16, 2012. She will represent her state in Miss America 2013 pageant to be held at the Theatre for the Performing Arts, Paradise, Nevada on January 2013.



Earlier this year Debbe shaved her head at a St. Baldrick’s event that she organized and raised over $3,000 for life-saving research! Her platform, "Baldly Going: Children's Cancer Research, Fundraising, & Service” has inspired many.

Bakhtawar Shah was crowned Miss Supranational Pakistan 2012 in a private audition held at the office of Best Model Pakistan. Bakhtawar Shah is 20 years old and stands 1.71m. She will represent Pakistan in Miss Supranational 2012 beauty contest which will be held in Torun, Poland on Friday, 15th September, 2012.

According to Miss Pennsylvania USA website Sanders and Associates has received Sheena Monnin’s resignation as Miss Pennsylvania USA 2012.
The MUO released an email sent to them by Monnin that read, “I refuse to be part of a pageant system that has so far and so completely removed itself from its foundational principles as to allow and support natural born males to compete in it. This goes against ever (sic) moral fiber of my being.”

And on internet: Sheena Monnin decided to resign Miss Pennsylvania USA 2012 tittle due to her disappointment in the system. Sheena Monnin called the Miss Universe Organization “fraudulent” and “trashy’’ on Facebook.

“I witnessed another contestant who said she saw the list of the Top 5 BEFORE THE SHOW EVER STARTED proceed to call out in order who the Top 5 were before they were announced on stage,” Monnin wrote on Facebook on Tuesday. “After it was indeed the Top 5 I knew the show must be rigged; I decided at that moment to distance myself from an organization who did not allow fair play and whose morals did not match my own.”

Reacting to Miss Pennsylvania Sheena Monnin‘s accusation on her facebook, Donald Trump, the co-owner of MUO, retaliated Wednesday by saying “What we’ve authorized today is we’re going to bring a lawsuit.’’
MUO claimed that Monnin resigned for a different reason, saying she disagreed with the organization’s decision to allow transgender contestants.

All the 50 contestants represent 50 states and the District of Columbia will compete for the prestigious title and the pageant will be televised live on NBC in the U.S. and STAR World in Asia-Pacific, June 3 at 9PM EST. The full preliminary round, as well as highlights from the event, will be available over Xbox Live via their YouTube and MSN applications.
